at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 7:30 o'clock P.M. July 1, 1940.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Commission then proceeded to sit as a Tax Equalization Board to receive any
compUints or objections filed with the City Clerk as to assessed valuation on the
1940 tax roll as prepared by the City Tax Assessor and presented at this time

There being no further complaints or objections registered., the Commission then adjourned
as an Equalization Board until a later date, and thereupon proceeded to handle any other
business which may come before it.
Consideration next given to an additional appropriation to the Seminole County
Chamber of Commerce,- at this time to be used for special advertising purposes.
Thereupon after considerable discussion,;, Commissioner Higgins moved that the
City appropriate $500.00 to the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce for special adver-
tieing purposes.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Rollins and carried,
the City Attorney was next instructed to institute foreclosure proceedings against the
vacant lots in San Lanta 2nd. Section , and the vacant lots in Amended Plat of Magnolia
Heights which are tax delinquent for over two years, the majority of these lots being
tax delinquent since 1927.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
