The City Commission cf the City of Sanford Florida met in adjourned Session at the
City Hall in Sanford Florida at 11.00 A.M. May 20, 1929.
Present: Commissioner Nelson Gray , Mayor

City Attorney , Fred R Wilson
City Clerk, F S Lamson
City Manager, G H Cairns.
The matter of the license tax for bottling works located outside the City limits
and doing business within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, was first considered,
and after considerable discussion of the good and bad features of said ordinance, and upon
opinion of the City Attorney -that the license tax now in force is illegal.
Commissioner Newman moved that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up ordinance
repealing Ordinance #153 in so far as it applies to bottling works, and present to the
City Commission at the next Regular Meeting , for passage and adoption.
Seconded by Commissioner Gray and unanimously adopted.
On motion duly adopted, City Manager Cairns was instructed to prorate purchases of
gas and supplies for automotive equip*ent among the various dealers in proportion to the
of taxes paid to the City.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
