The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida , met in Regular Session at
the City Hall, in Sanford, Florida, at Two O'C16ck P M June 24, 1929•
Present: Commissioner Nelson Gray, Mayor.

Minutes of Regular meeting of June 10th, and adjourned session of June 22nd.
1929 read and approved.
City Attorney Wilson next reported as to steps being taken to repair =G,ssings in
the City limits by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Co.; also that the Atlantic Coast Line
R.R. Co. is considering placing an electric signal at the Thirteenth Street crossing in
Goldsboro, but in case the cost is too high, has asked whether the City would consider desig
nating this crossing as a "Stop" cr.assing.
Commissioner Newman moved that pending a decision as to whether an electric sign
will be erected here or not, that the Atlantic Coast Line R.R. Co. be requested to replace
the watchman at this crossing.
Seconded by Commissioner Gray and adopted by the following vote:

The Clerk next presented trust receipt received from the First National Bank of
Sanford, for Three Seminole County School Bonds and Sixteen City of Homestead Bonds, as
additional security for City of Panf ord deposits in said bank.
In view of the uncertainty of the City of Homestead bonds, the Clerk was instruct
to notify the First National Bank that these bonds, together with others previously furnish
and referred to the City Attorney for opinion, are not acceptable and asking that other se-
curity be furnished for City of Sanford deposits in said bank.
Invoice of Fred R Wilson, City Attorre y, for $75.30, in connection with pre-
paration and passage of Special Act by Legislature, authorized by Minutes of Juke 11,1929,
presented, approved, and the Clerk instructed to draw check in payment thereof.
Invoice of Title Guaranty & Mortgage Co. for $25.00 covering 'information furhishe
City Attorney Wilson to be used in foreclosure proceedings for paving liens, submitted,
approved and Clerk ordered to draw check in payment thereof.
Invoice of Jessie D Kleinman for $429.61 covering stenographic services and cost
transcript of testimony in suit,,, of City of Sanford Vs: Chase National Bank of New York Ci
same being properly approved by George A DeCottes, Special Counsel, was submitted, approv
and the Clerk instructed to draw check in payment thereof.
Clerk submitted inquiry from W M Tapley, Tampa , Florida, as to whether City
would be interested in selling its Water Plant.
Clerk instructed to acknowledge letter and state that it had been filed for futur
reference.

On motion of Commissioner Newman, seconded by Commissioner Chase and unanimously
adopted, the following 1927 Personal and 1928 Real Estate Taxes were ordered cancelled, for
the reasons given: 1927 Personal Tax

On motion of Commissioner Newman, seconded by Commissioner Miller and unanimously
adopted, the following 1926 and 1927 Personal Taxes were ordered cancelled:

Request received from Mrs J E Spurling for permit to erect galvanized iron garage
(private) at South -west corner of Union Ave and Pine Ave, to replace ore recently removed.
Commissioner Miller moved that the permit be granted. Seconded by Commissioner
Gray, and unanimously adopted.
Petition from County Medical Society that the City Commission pass an Ordinance
requiring the vaccination for Rabies,of all dogs in the City limits.
Thereupon the City Attorney was instructed to prepare such an ordinance and submit
to the Commission at the next regular meeting for passage and adoption.
The City Manager was also instructed to arrange with Dr. C W Baker to have this work
done, the procedure to be as follows:
The dog owner to b°e required to procure a license for the dog and the Citykto
pay Dr. Baker for the vaccination from the fee paid by the owner.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned to meet again at 10 A.M.
June 25, 1929•
