Commissioner Newman
moved that the note be
refused,
and that the lessee be notVJ ed
that unless the cash is forthcoming at once, to vacate this property.
Seconded by Commissioner Speer and adopted by the following vote;

Offer received from Mr Charles Kanner to lease the City property adjacent to the
Baseball park, known as Lot 22 of Pace Acres, for the Spring of 1930 for the sum of
$50.00
Commissioner Newman moved that the offer be accepted, payment to be made in ad-
vance.
Seconded by Commissioner Miller and unanimously carried.
Offer received from the Seminole County Board of Education, through T W Lawton, Sup
intendent, to purchase flood light heretofore acquired to light Police Station but not
being used, for the sum of :30.00
Commissioner Newman moved that the offer be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Miller and unanimously carried.
On motion duly adopted, purchase of 1000 feet of fire hose from the Eureka Fire Hose
Company, for the use of the Fire Department, was authorized.
Petition received from the Sanford Country Club Inc, for an appropriation of $500.00
to be used for the purchase of rye seed, fertilizer and power for lthe upkeep of the
Municipal Golf Course.
After considerable discussion, Commissioner Newman moved that the appropriation Lbe
made, chargeable to the Publicity Fund.
Seconded by Commissioner Miller and unanimously adopted.
Invoice of Wilson & Boyle for $1350.00 as retainer for Five suits against the
Forrest Lake Hotel to foreclose paving, bulkhead and sidewalk liens, presented, and on
motion of Commissioner Speer, seconded by Commissioner Miller and unanimously carried,
same was approved and payment ordered.
Request teoeived from Mrs Elsa Knight, Librarian to take vacation during the month
of December 1929-
Commissioner Miller moved that the request be granted, any costs incurred through
the employment of a substitute to be paid from the Library Fines account.
Seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried by the following vote;

Petition received from: Mr W C Hill for permit to widen Locust Ave in front of
Lot 2 Blk 10 Tr. D, from the Curb to the sidewalk, and to install gasoline pump next
to the sidewalk on the part of.,-the street so widened.
Commissioner Miller moved that the permit be granted

The Clerk next reported that in compliance with instructions heretofore given,
request has been made and granted by the United States War Department extending the time

limit for completion of the work in the West Side Bulkhead District to December 31, 1932.
City Attorney Wilson next brought up the matter of the personal taxes against Wight
Print Shop, stating that it was desired to move a linotype machine from this shop, that
Z B Ratliff and Mr'Yowell, proprietor of.this concern, had appraised this machine as being
25 per cent of the total value of the personal property in the `Right Print Shop, and
therefore requesting authority to pay 25 per cent of the due and past due personal taxes
and move this machine.
Commissioner Newman moved that the request be granted.
Seconded by Commissioner Miller and carried by the following vote.

On motion of Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Newman and unanimously
carried, the following 1927 and 1928 personal taxes were cancelled, dueto over — assessment.
