City Clerk, F S Lamson I � Chief of Police, R G Williams Absent: Commissioner S 0 Chase. The first matter to be considered was that of the resignation of Commissioner S 0 Chase, but on motion duly adopted action thereon was postponed until the next regular meeting of the Commission. The next matter to come before the Commission was a consideration of the financial situation due to the closing of the First National Bank of Sanford on July 13th, 1929, thereby tying up approximately sixty per -cent of the City's funds, and in line with this con- sideration, the Clerk presented statement of cash on hand in all accounts at the First National Bank at the time of closing, and the Sanford Atlantic National Bank, together with comparative statement of revenues and expenses for the years 192+ to 1929 inclusive. Action deferred, pending further Consideration. Commissioner Miller next moved that the Clerk b6 instructed to open up such accounts the Sanford Atlantic National Bank as are necessary. Seconded by Commissioner Gray and unanimously adopted. The Clerk then reported the required accounts to be as follows: City Olerk's Petty Cash Account City Utilities Meter Deposit Account. City of Sanford Special Assessment Account ( Savings Acct.) On motion of Commissioner Newman, which was seconded by Commissioner Gray and adopted, the Clerk was instructed to draw salary checks for each City Commissioner for all meetings of record during the months from January to June , inclusive, 1929. On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed advance City Manager Cairns $250.00 on account of salary. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Attest: City Clerk. Mayor ly
