The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Cal Conklin. at
5:10 P.M.
Mr. Conklin apprised the Committee that at the meeting of August 9,
1990, Tommy Berdi of 1890 Saloon and Cattle Co. submitted an
Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to restore the
windows, change existing sign, paint the mansard roof, and paint
the outside of the building at 119 South Magnolia Avenue. He
further informed the Committee that the Board had approved the
portion of the Application to restore the windows with the same
type of historic materials originally used and to change the
existing sign with the contingency to reposition the sign so it
doesn't interfere with the window line.
The Committee meet with Jeff Ward, Manager of the 1890 Saloon and
Cattle Co., to discuss the portion of the Application that referred
to painting the mansard roof and the outside of the building.
A discussion was .held regarding the color selection. Mr. Ward
stated the management would like to paint the brick white, the wood
pink, and the trim maroon.
Jerry Mills moved to approve the color selection for the painting
of the outside of the building and deny the proposal to paint the
mansard roof. Seconded by Ron Fiorelli and carried by unanimous
vote.
As there was no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 5 :30 P.M.
