Mr. J ohn Meisch, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, next
outlined plans for the construction and equipment of a Community Canning Kitchen to be
located at the Farmers Exchange Market, the plan contemplating the furnishing of the
material for the building by the City and County, the labor and equipment to be paid
for with Federal Funds.
Mr. Meisch also advised the Commission that the County Commissioners had
appropriated $500.00 in cash or materials for this purpose.

two old houses acquired through foreclosure of tax liens; one at the southeast corner
of Third Street and Laurel Ave, and the other located at 1010 Olive Avenue, the

alternate offer, to contribute these two old houses as they stand and $250.00 in cash.
Seconded by Commissioner Shinholser and carried.
At this time the Commission discussed with Mr. Meisch the possibility of the
City and County combining in the foreclosure of delinquent tax certificates, sharing
the proceeds in proportion to the claim each may have against the property, but as
any such arrangement would have to be approved by the State Comptroller, ---
