CITY CDMMISSION, .SANFORD, FLORIDA, Regular neeting October 31}
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session
at the City Hall in Sanford, Florida at 7:30 O'Clock P.M. October 22m 1934.
Present: Commissioner W.A. Leffler, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Minutes of adjourned regular meeting of October 9th, and adjourned meeting
of October 15th, 1934 read and approved.
Communication next read from R.B.Wight requesting that an additional six
month period be allowed Winn.& Lovett Grocery Co. to build dock - warehouse on
property leased from the City, the original agreement specifying that the dock-
warehouse be built within six months from the date thereof.
Action deferred pending meeting of the full Board.
Communication next presented by a Committee of the Sanford Junior Chamber
of Commerce, requesting that the City make a separate contract with the Florida
Power & Light Co. to furnish street lights, where at present there are none,
for a period of six months beginning November 1st.
Matter taken under advisement, pending meeting of the full Board.
A committee headed by C E Rawson, next outlined plans being formulated
to renovate some old house as a part of the Government's
people to obtain loans and paint and repair their homes,
everyone contributing to share in the proceeds of the ho

City Attorney Wilson next reported on the allocation of the receipts at the
Master's Sale of October let, 1934, in the action brought by the Eustis Holding
Company Vs. Reconstruction Corporation of Florida and City of Sanford, Florida
with respect to lots 185, 195 and 198 Pinehurst Subdivision, as follows:

Thereupon City Attorney Wilson presented Master's Deed to Lot 185 Pinehurst and
check for #733.55 representing the City's share in the proceeds of the sale of Lots 195 and
198 Pinehurst, as listed.
The Clerk next reported that W.A.Leffler was the only candidate qualifying for the
Municipal Primary Election to be held on November.6th for the office of City Commissioner
and for that reason no Primary Election would be held.
Thereupon Mr. W.A.Leffler was certified as the duly elected nominee for the office
of City Commissioner to be voted upon at the General Municipal Election to be held on December
4th. 1934.
In connection with that part of the street paving assessment for paving on West
First street abutting on Lot 1 Block Z, St.Gertrude's Addition applicable to the following
described portion of this lot:
Beg 60 ft N of S E Cor of Lot 1 Blk Z. St. Gertrude' s Addition, run N. 57 ft.
w. 104 ft S. 57 ft. E. 104 ft. to Beg .
The Clerk was next authorized to accept as payment in full of the assessment against this
description, prorate. share of the entire assessment as the area of this description is to
the area of the entire lot.
The meeting then adjourned to meet again at 7:30 O'Clock P.M . October 25, 1934•
