City Engineer made tabulated report on bids as follows:

Boat Basin was awarded to W S Earle, and bond was fixed
bond to be perfected in fifteen days from date.
to sign the contract for the City.
A11 bids on concrete pipe mere rejected and the City Manager was authorized
to purchase the necessary concrete pipe within the appropriation therefor.

accepted quotations by Georgia Vitrified Brick and Clay Co. of Augusta Ga.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted the Contract for the Dock Seaver

and Rand Alley Sewer, be awardedto r M Owens & Co. , and Bond fixed at 50% contract
and that 30 days be allowed to perfect bond and contract.
The Clerk was instructed to write Engineer Jos E Craig, and ask him to advise
when he will submit plans and specifications on new water works plant, and also ask him
to revise plans so as to include eight six inch artesian wells as part of new system
Location to be supplied later.
It was recommended that the City Manager place well for fire protection at S.E.
Corner of intersection of Fourth St. and Magnolia Ave.
Fire Chief Paxton recommended that one additional man be put on the Fire Force and
suggested that Robert Williamson be appointed at a salary of $75.00 per month, to begin
January 15, 1924. On motion duly seconded and passed unanimously, it was so ordered.
City Engineer was authorized to prepare and have recored an amended plat of Lane's
Addition to correct error in first plat as approved, at the expense of the City.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
