TUESDAY AUGUST 12,1924 at 10 A.M.
Present: Commissioner Forrest Lake (Mayor) and C J Marshall -W. B Williams
City Manager; George A DeCottes, City Attorney; F. T Willtms City Engineer; and J.E.
Craig, Consulting Engineer.
Absent: Commissioner S 0 Chase.
Mr Craig reported on bidsfbr pumping Machinery and recommended the acceptance
of the bid of the Pennyslvania Pump & Compressor Co. in the sum of $5,285.80, same
being the lowest bid.
Company.
On motion duly passed, sid bid was accepted and contract awarded to the said
Mr Craig then reported on bids for Wood Pipe, and recommended that same be

awarded to the Standard Food Pipe Co., on condition that they make a satisfactory time
of delivery, and submit a satisfactory sample of Pipe which shall be equal in quality
to the pipe to be furnished on the contract provided that these conditions not being
met, then, that the bid of the PacificaTank and Pipe Co. be accepted for coated Redwood
Pipe.
On motion duly passed, the Commission approved the recommendation of Mr. Craig.
On motion duly passed the City Manager was authorized to proceed at once to
construct a bridge across Pump Branch at the intersection of Third Street, as per plans
B ubmitted by the City Engineer.
Communication from Municipal Judge J G Sharon recommending. redaction of fine
in the case of the City vs. Earle Powell to the sum of $10. and costs.
