ADDENDUM B TO LEASE NO. 2010-16
Lease No. 2010-16 between the SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY and
CITY OF SANFORD - YOUTHBUILD, dated July 26, 2010, is renewed for a period
of six (6) months to commence on November 1, 2011 and ending at midnight on April
30, 2012 under the same terms and conditions set forth therein.
This Addendum B is to be affixed to and become a permanent part of Lease
No. 2010-16 between the SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY and CITY OF
SANFORD - YOUTHBUILD.

SUBJECT: Addendum to City of Sanford - Youthbuild 1 ase agreement with Sanford
Airport Authority

Approval of an addendum to the City of Sanford - Youthbuild lease agreement with the Sanford
Airport Authority is requested.
FISCAL/STAFFING STATEMENT:
There is no fiscal impact to the City as Youthbuild grant funds are utilized for the lease payments.
BACKGROUND:
Youthbuild has been leasing office space from the Sanford Airport Authority since July 2010. This
addendum would extend the current lease agreement for an additional six months to commence on
November 1, 2011 and end on April 30, 2012 under the same terms and conditions as the original
lease agreement.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The Assistant City Attorney has reviewed the addendum document. He has stated that the City
should ensure that contracts do not expire, but has advised that, although not a desired practice,
this particular agreement can be extended, nunc pro tunc, from November 1, 2011.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is staff's recommendation that the City Commission approve the addendum to extend the lease
agreement for an additional six months.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
"I move to approve the addendum to extend the lease agreement between the City of Sanford —
Youthbuild and the Sanford Airport Authority for an additional six months."
