The City Con~nission of the Oity of Oanford,Florida, met in adjourned session at the ~ity
Hall in Sanford, Florida, at 1:30 o'clock P. ~i., January 4, 1929.

Absent: Commissioner S. 0. Chase.
The Chairman submitted telegram received from the Chairman of the State Road
Department, wherein the State Road Department agreed to accept $13,000.00 cash as full settle,
ment cf the claim of the State Eoad Department against the Oity of Sar~ford for work done in
connection with widening State ~oad No. $ in the ~lty Limits. '~'he Chairman also submitted
copy of telegram which he had previously sent to the Chairman of the Otate Road Department
asking if settlement c~uld be made in this manner.
Thereupon, in view of the fact that the claim of the State Eoad Department,
amounting to ~29,183.75, is included in Official i~efinancing Document ~-3, and in view of
the fact that there is a balance of .~13,616.47 remaining from the proceeds of the sale of
$425,000.00 bonds of the Zssue A-Z, and in view of the fact that the Commission in accept-
ing this offer is saving for the Uity of Sanford $16,183.75,
Commissioner I~iller made the motion, which was unanimously adopted, that the
offer of the State Road Department be accepted, and the Clerk was instructed to immediately
draw check for ~13,000.00 on the Refinancing Fund at the First National Bank, and deliver
same to the First National Bank of Sanford to be telegraphed to the Capital City Bank at
Tallahassee to order of the State Road Department, as instructed in the telegram from the
Chairman of the State Eoad Department.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned to meet again at 4
o'clock P. M., January 5, 1929.
