the City of Sanford Florida met in adjourned session at
Minutes of adjourned sessions of City Commission held December 31st. 1928, January
2nd and January ~th 1929 read and a~;~proved.
Mr L L ~eRoy and Mr C E Myers, President and Secretary respectively of the Sanford
Country Club Inc. appeared before the Commission with reference to the execution of a lease
for the Golf Course, action having been deferred on this matter from previous meetings of
the Commission.
After considerable discussion, the Commission offered to give a lease for five years
with the option So renew the lease for s~u additional five years at the end of that time, withl
the privilege to buy the property during this period at a price and upon terms to be agreed
upon, and this proposition being agreeable to Mr LeRoy and Er ~yers.
Commissioner Miller m~de the motion, which was unanimously adopted that the Eayor
and City Clerk be authorized to execute said lease with the Sanford Country Club Inc.
Burke Wester Construction Company offered to purchase of the City of Sznford , one
bond, series A-1 dated Jan i, 1928, carrying interest at the rate of Six Per centum per ~nnum
at and for the price of $996.53
Burke Wester Construction Company also offered to issue in lieu of cash for this
bond, a credit memorandum to apply against the amount owed the Burke Wester Construction
Company by the City of S~nford Florida.
Thereupon, in view of the fact that the account of the Burk Wester Construction Co. /
amounting to to $996.53, is included in Official Refinancing DGcument A-l, and in view of th~
fact that the series A-1 bon~s were issued to meet the obligations conti~ned in Official
Refinancing Document A-1.
Commissioner Miller ma~e t~motion, which w~s unanimously adopted, that the proposi-
tion of the Burke Wester Construction Company be accepted and the Clerk was instructed to
execute Bond No. 585, Series A-l, dated January l, 1928, and due J~uary l, 1951, drawing
interest at the rate of six per centum per annum~ With coupon due January l, 1929, detached,
and deliver same to the Burke Wester Construction Company, receiving therefrom receipt for
account with the ~ity of sanford in full.× Invoice of the
same, together with receipt of/First National Bank of Sanford for $13,00 covering charges
in connection with the telegraphing $13,000.00 to Capital City Bank in Tallahassee, to order
of State Road Department; settlement of account of State Road Department agai~t the City
of Sanford, Florid~ in full, approved.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned to meet again at 2 O'Clock
