The City Co~ission of the City of Sanford Florida met in Adjourned Session
at the City Hall in Sanford Florida at 3 O'Clock P M September 21, 1928
Present: Con~issioner E F Housholder, Mayor.

City Attorney George A DeCottes.
Deputy Clerk, Ellen Hoy.
Absent: Commissioner, S 0 Chase.
Commissioner Frank L Miller offered the following resolution,

which was unani-
~HEREAS,the State of Florida has recently been swept by the West Indian Hurricane,
and
WHEREAS, this Commission realizes the enormity of the calamity that has befallen
the storm area in the Palm Beaches and vicinity.
THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the City of Sanford, Florida appropriate the sum
$1,200.O0 for the immediate relief of the storm sttfferers in the stricken area, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the City of Sanford Florida, be, and
he is hereby directed to immediately transmit said sum of $1,200.00 to the Mayor of the
City of West Palm Beach, to be used to meet i~nediate needs arising in caring for the un-
fortunate storm sufferers in West Palm Beach and the Okeechobee section.
The City Attorney was instructed to draw up ordinance fixing license on out-of
town bottling works at $200.00 per year; Chautauqua performances $25.00 per day; Skating
rink, not permanently located, $25.00 per day; skating rink, permanently located $100.00
per year; also ordinance covering the sale of bankrupt stock.
