The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. N. June 13, 1956.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman and on roll call all members of the Commission
were found to be present.
Commissioner Higginbotham then moved ~he. waiver of the requirement of "Written No~ice"
of this special meeting, which was seconded by Commissioner Krider and unanimously carried.
Sam C. Lawson, owner and developer 0f St. John's Village Subdivisicn, appeared with
reference to his proposed replat of s aid subdivision, which was rejected by the Commission
at meeting of June ll, due to the water ands ewer utilities not being provided by the
developer. He submitted further request for the City to install 575 ft of water and sewer
lines at estimated cost of $2,295.00 to service the first 16 houses ~o be cots trucked, for
which he would reimburse the City on basis of $200.00 per house when they are constructed
and .sold, advising tha~ he proposed to construct 4 houses at a time. Mr. Lawson further
advised that he acquired this property in 1954, prior to the Clty's adoption of the sub-
division ordinance, at which time the City furnished him a letter agreeing to extend water
and sewer utilities to servioe his proposed development which was submitted to the Federal
Housing Administration in connection with approval of mortgage financing.
After discussion and further consideration, Commissioner Higglnbotham moved that the
City install the 575 ft of water and sewer lines to service the aforesaid development at the
estimated cost of $2,295.00, and accept Mr. Lawson's note in sum of $2,500.00 as a guarantee
of repayment of such cost; such note to be payable on basis of $200.00 per house, as each
is sold. Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner .Wilsnn and carried,
the Commission then approved the r eplat of St. Johns Village SubdivisiOn, designated as
second revision.
There being no further business the rosering was adjourned.
