The Fire Chief had been informed that the unit would have to be replaced and estimateswere obtained as follows: Southern Air 2513 Park Drive Sanford 58FV125 - 1650 CFM lO0,O00 BTU output 58FV156 - 1900 CFM 125,000 BTU output Wall Plumbing and Heating 1007 S. Sanford Avenue Sanford - $484.00 - $513.oo Furnishing and installing one General Electric LT lOOC oil Furnance -lO0,O00 BTU output capacity and blower sized for 4 tons of air conditioning - $405.00 and on motion of Commissioner Roberts, seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried, Wall Plumbing and Heating was authorized to do the replacement work at a cost of $405.00, and further authorized a transfer from Account No. 8150, Contingency, to Fire Department Account No. 2321, Building Repairs and Maintenance, to cover the expenditure. On request of the City Clerk, Commissioner Roberts moved to authorize the Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney to enter City of Sanford Safety Deposit Box No. 177 at the Sanford Atlantic National Bank for the purpose of removing securities held by the Policemen and Firemen Pension Funds. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. On motion of CommissionerMeyer, seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried, the salary of B. Joy Wester, employee at the Sanford Airport, was approved for a weekly increase from $85.00 to $90.00, effective January 15, 1970. After consideration and on motion of Commissioner Crapps, seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried, transfer ~rom Account No. 8150, Contingency, to Account No. 1135, iCommission-Miscellaneous Expense, in amount of $100.00 toward expenses of a dinner honoring Supreme Court Justice Vassar L. Carlton in appreciation of the material assistance given to the City of Sanford. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. ~CitY Clerk lm MAYOR
