The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock noon on September 8, 1970.
Present:
Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner James H. Crapps
Commissioner Thomas S. McDonald
Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer
City Attorney W. C. Hutchison, Jr.
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Police Chief Ben E. Butler
Absent: Commissioner W. Vincent Roberts
After discussion, Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize the City Attorney to prepar~
proper requests to be submitted to the state legislature to amend the City Charter to provide
for a maximum fine of $295.00 or 59 days in jail, plus court costs, for all offenses committed
against ordinances of the City of Sanford. Seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried.
After consideration, Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize the City of Sanford
Police Chief and Police Captain to issue warrants for offenses committed against ordinances
of the City of Sanford, subject to the opinion of the City Attorney. Seconded by Commissioner
Crapps and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
