The city Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida,-met~in .Special Called Session

Absent: City Manager W. E. Knowles
Police Chief Ben E. Butler
Commissioner Stenstrom moved to waive the requirement of twenty-four hours written
notice, and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and
carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
Pursuant to special meeting of June 24, 1971, wherein the City Commission approved
the proposed purchase of all of the stock of Monroe Harbour, Inc., by Charles Rockwell from
Cobia Boats, Inc., and assignment of lease of the marina on City of Sanford lakefront property,
the Mayor outlined that Mr. Rockwell was negotiating a loan of $100,000.00 from-a local bank
to be used for improvements or operating capital and requested subrogation of fe~ simple title
from the City of Sanford on Lot 8, Sanford Riverfront Project.
After discussion, Commissioner Crapps moved to approve the request. Seconded by
Commissioner Meyer and carried.
After 'discussion, Commissioner Roberts moved to authorize a Contract with the firm
of Gerald L. Dake Associates, Jacksonville, Planning Consultants, for the preparation of a
new Zoning Ordinance at a fee not to exceed $3,500.00. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and
carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
