The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Session
at the City Hall in-the~City of Sanford~ Florida, at.l:30 o'clock P. M. on December I, 1971.

Commissioner Stenstrom moved to waive the requirement of the twenty-four hours
written notice, and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer
and carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
The City Manager submitted a report on the proposed drainage for the Sanora housing
development at Onor'a Road and..Sanford Avenue by Brailey Odham.
Commissioner Roberts moved that inasmuch as this report is the recommendation of
the City Manager and the City Engineer, that the conclusion of the City Manager be accepted
for a paved, open drainage ditch, and further to authorize a capital drainage project fund be
set up in the Public Project Fund to receive the drainage fee from the developer. Seconded
by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
After discussion, Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize the City Manager to prepare
information as to costs, description~!~of the project, and the areas to be relieved by the
drainage to be provided from the sale of bonds as proposed in the December 7, 1971, election.
SecOnded by Commissioner Roberts and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Meyer, Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried, the
Mayor, City Clerk and City Attorney were next authorized access to Safe Deposit Drawer No. 177,
for the purpose of the annual audit.
Commissioner Roberts moved to authorize the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance to
require the City Commission to meet in regular session each Monday at 8:00 oiclock P. M.,
except those Mondays that are legal holidays. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom.
Commissioner Meyer moved to table action on the aforesaid motion pending further
study of the adoption of a new city charter. Seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried over
the dissenting votes of Commissioner Stenstrom and Commissioner Roberts.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
