The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special called session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 5:15 o'clock P. M. on April 4, 1972.
Present:
Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer
Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom
Commissioner John G. Morris
City Attorney W. C. Hutchison, Jr.
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: Police Chief Ben E. Butler
Commissioner Meyer moved to waive the requirement of the twenty-four hours written
notice and to call the meeting into special session.

The City Attorney reported that amended interrogatories had been filed in Civil
Action File No. 70-172 United States District Court, Middle District, Orlando, Audella M. Davis
Georgetown Taxpayers Association and others versus City Commission of Sanford. Mr. Hutchison
further stated that in his opinion the action to defend the City could be very expensive in
order to proceed with the proposed municipal improvement paving project under Chapter 170,
Florida Statutes.
After discussion and on motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner
Stenstrom and carried, the City Attorney was xnstructed to prepare and file the proper
documents to attempt to remove the City and the Commission from said civil action.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
