The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special called session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:45 o'clock P. M. on August 7, 1972. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore Commissioner A. A. McClanahan Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer Commissioner John G. Morris Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom City Attorney Wi C. Hutchison, Jr. City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Police Chief Ben E. Butler Commissioner McClanahan moved to waive the requirement of the twenty-four hours written notice and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission. Invoice No. 6-R, dated August 1, 1972, submitted from Gutmann, Dragash and Matz, Architects, Inc., for services on the Police Security Complex through May 31, 1972, in the amount of $31,155.63, less payments $21,847.04, net of $9,308.59. On recommendation of the City Manager and on motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried, payment of same was authorized. Invoice, dated August 7, 1972, next ;~ubmitted from T. W. Blount, Jr. & Son Contracting Company for reconstruction of Pier A in the west harbor of the Marina, in amount of $40,840.11, less payments $7,175.16, net of $33,664.95. On recommendation of the City Manager and on motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried, payment of same was authorized. Periodic estimate for partial payment next submitted from Lee Construction 'Company of Sanford for material and work completed to July 28, 1972, on the Secondary Treatment Plant, in amount of $226,870.65, leSs Payments of $83,424.78, net $143,445.87. On approval of the City Engineer and on recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize pay- ment of same, and to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a note in amount of $75,000.0 for a 60-day period at 4 3/4% interest, to provide funds for said payment. Seconded by Commis- sioner Stenstrom and carried. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. lm MAYOR
