The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Meeting at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 5:00 o'clock P. M. on October 16,. 1972..

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Commissioner McClanahan moved to waive the requirement of the twenty-four hours
written notice and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer
and carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
After discussion, Commissioner Morris moved to authorize the City Attorney to '
gate the applicable statutes controlling the assessment of a Utility Tax by a municipality and.
to submit a written opinion and. recommendations as to the validity of the City's ordinance for
same. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and. carried over the dissenting votes of Commissioner
McClanahan and Mayor Moore.
Commissioner Morris moved to table further diScussion of the Utility Tax.
by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
Seconded
On motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded, by Commissioner McClanahan and carried,
the meeting was adjourned.
