The City Commission ~of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on August 15, 1973.

Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer
Commissioner John G. Morris
Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom
City Manager W. E. Kn~wles
Deputy City Clerk Rosa M. Rotundo
City Attorney C. Vernon Mize, Jr.
City Clerk H.~ N. Tamm, Jr.
Police Chief Ben E. Butler
Commissioner Morris moved to waive the requirement of the twenty-four hours written
notice and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and
carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
The City Manager reported to the Commission that the wife of Mr. Ray Turman had
passed away this morning after a long illness, and that Mr. Turman had requested a pay advance
of $831.50 for funeral expense. Commissioner Meyer moved to advance Mr. Turman the $831.50
and to work out the repayment with the City Manager; seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and
carried.
Commissioner Morris moved to amend the motion,to authorize the City Manager to
allow further loans, as necessary, to Mr. Ray Turman; seconded by Commissioner Meyer and
carried.
