M. on June 10, 1974. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore Commissioner A. A. McClanahan Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer City Attorney C. Butler The meeting was called to order by the Chairman~ A public hearing was held to consider rezoning property as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission and in accordance with notice published in the Sanford Herald on May 31, 1974 as follows: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED CHAN@'ES AND AMENDMENTS IN CERTAIN DISTRICTS AND BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA. Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held at the Commission Room in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on June 10, 1974 to consider changes and amend- ments to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sanford, Florida, as follows: That property lying east of U. S. 17-92 (SR 15-600), approximately 1,400 feet southwesterly of the intersection of Airport Boulevard with said U. S. 17-92 is proposed to be rezoned from SR-1AA (Sin- gle Family Residential) District to GC-2 (General Commercial) Dis- trict. Said property being more particularly described as follows: From the NE cor Section. 11, Township 20S, Range 30E, run Southerly 949.70 ft to a pt on the SEly r/w line of State Highway No. 15 (formerly State Highway 3), thence run S 25° 30" W along said r/w line 1065'05 ft to the POB; thence run S 64° 30" E 200.00 ft to the E boundary of the herein described parcel Of land, thence S 25° 30" W along said Ely boundary 125.00 ft, thence N 64° 30' W to the SEly r/w line of said highway, thence along said Ely r/w line 125.00 ft to the POB, being in Section 11, Township 20S, Range 30E. No one appeared in opposition. On motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried, the City Attorney was authorized to prepare the proper ordinance to rezone the property as described in the foregoing notice of public hearing. On motion of Commissioner Stenstrom, seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried, the City Attorney was authorized to prepare the ordinance to close the street as advertised in the foregoing notice of public hearing. On motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried, minutes of June 3 and April 22, 1974 were approved. On recommendation of the City Manager, the Commission next authorized the installation of a water line to each planter in the downtown business district and to give the respective merchants a key to turn on the water in the planter in front of their store. On motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried, salary reclassifications were approved as follows: Bonnie RiCharde - clerk typist II, C to D ($5,920.00) 6/22/74. Ava Knowles - clerk typist III, D to E ($7,207.00). Commissioner McClanahan moved to authorize the purchase of a tank trailer in the amount of $550.00 for the utility department.
