The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in the City Hall in the
City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on June 17, 1974.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Request submitted from Jones Electric Company to use for customer parking the park-
~ay abutting their building at 401 South Laurel Avenue. Commissioner Stenstrom moved to ap,
prove the request provided the petitioner would bear all the costs of the improvements.

Commissioner Morris moved to authorize an extension of 90 days on Condemnation Re-
port No. 73-505, George C. Locke, owner. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
Check submitted from W. R. Frizzell and Associates in amount of $12,750.00, for
payment in lieu of taxes in accordance with agreement dated 8/13/73 for sale of 14 acre lake-
front tract, West of 17-92; and a letter requesting an extension from July 1 to September
15, 1974 for submitting Plans for approval and final zoning on development of the property.
Commissioner Morris moved to accept the check. Seconded by Commissioner stenstrom and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried,
the request for extension was tabled until June 24, 1974.
Letter next submitted from W. Bush, Jr., County Engineer, inquiring of any interest
in train speed on the main line through the city, and the City Clerk.was authorized to reply
that blocked crossings appeared to be more of a problem than the speed.
On motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried,
minutes of June 10, 1974, were approved.
On motion of Commissioner Stenstrom, seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried,

On recommendation of the City Manager, and on motion of Commissioner Morris, seconde,
by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried, salary reclassification was approved for George Rufas,
Street Superintendant, from grade C to D - $9,849.00 annually.
Request submitted for a conditional use in a GC-2 (General Commercial) District
for sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises at the Lamplighter Restaurant
and Lounge, 2700 Sanford Avenue. Commissioner Morris moved to approve the request. Seconded
by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
Invoice No. 388 in amount ~f $640.00 submitted from Rumney's Lumber and Mil!work
for work on the Sanford Law Enforcement Center. On recommendation of the City Manager, Com-
missioner Stenstrom moved to approve payment. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting' was adjourned.
