The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, 'met in the City Hall of San- ford, Florida at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on July 15, 1974. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore Commissioner John G. Morris Commissioner A. A. McClanahan Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer City Attorney C. Vernon MiZe, Jr. City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Absent: Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom Police Chief Ben E. Butler The ~meeting was called to order by the Chairman. Request submitted by Acme Oil Company to continue the non-conforming use for a ser- vice station at the Northeast corner of the intersection of 13th Street and Park Avenue. Commissioner Morris moved to approve the request. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan 'moved to approve payment of Invoice No. 19, dated July 1, 1974 in the amount of $663.64 from Gutmann, Dragash and Matz for work on the Sanford Law Enforcement Center. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried, ,. On recommendation of the Minimum Housing Code Inspector and the City Manager, Commissioner Meyer 'moved to authorize a 90 day time extension'for Conde'~mation RepOrt No. 73-502, Group No. 26, 1710 Mulberry Avenue, Reddick Isaac, owner. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried. On 'motion of Commissioner McClanahan, seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried, ~minutes of July 8, 1974 were approved. The City Manager submitted a report on improvements to the employees group health and hospital insurance as follows: EMP DEP FAMILY 1. Increase room and board from $30. to $41. $1.00 $1,40 $2.40 2. Increase surgical to $350. .20 .40 .60 3. Increase Hospital'medical care to $7. .10 .15 .25 The City Manager ~/estimated the increased annual cost to the city in the amount of $3,650.40 per year. On 'motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried, same was approved. On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner Meyer 'moved to approve a 28 day work period for the fire department personnel, to be effective January 1, 1975. Seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried. Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize a public hearing to be held August 12, 1974 to consider the Airport budget. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried. On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan 'moved to authorize payment of statements as follows: a. Statement dated July 12, 1974 from Clark, Dietz and Associates MINUTES City Commission,~Sanf°rd, FlOrida'' ~ . July 15 at 4:00 P. M. 19,74 b. Statement dated July 12, 1974 from Clark, Dietz and Associates in amount of $232.75 for work on the South Sanford Sewer Force Main. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried. The City Manager reported that William S. Brumley, Contractor, has contracted to build the utility building at the Sanford Law Enforcement Center. Fadel Elbadramany, owner of Sanford Yellow Cab Company, appeared to request an extension of the notice to remove inoperable and wrecked cabs from his company's premises. Commissioner Morris ~moved to authorize an extension to September 1, 1974. 'missioner McClanahan and carried. Commissioner McClanahan 'moved to authorize the City Clerk to obtain a recording secretary for the CALNO 'meeting to be held in the Sanford C~ y Hall on August 7, 1974.
