MIDSTATE LEGAL SUPPLY COMPANY
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, ~met in regular session in the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on February 3, 1975.
Present:

The-meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
On 'motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried,
minutes of January 27, 1975 were approved.
The City Manager'submitted a tabulation of bids for the reconstruction of the French
Avenue, No. 2 Fire Station into the Central Fire Station, as follows:

On reco'mmendation of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan moved to accept the low bid
fro'm W. S. Brumley in the amount of $63,677.00 from Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. Seconded
by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
The City Attorney discussed the Public Employee Collective Bargaining Law, effec-
tive January 1, 1975 and was authorized to submit copies of material for further considera-
tion.
Commissioner Meyer moved to deny a proposed increase in the fee schedule for competency
cards. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom. Co'mmissioner McClanahan moved to table discussion
pending a report from the Building Official.
Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried
over the dissenting votes of Commissioner Stenstrom and Commissioner Meyer.
On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan moved to authorize
items to be cannibalized and removed from the Police Department inventory, as follows:

The Commission authorized pavement width for the City-County paving project on 18th
Street from Southwest Road to Oleander Avenue to be no less than 22 feet, and further, that
the drainage be brought up to standard.
Jim Triplett, Central Bedding and Furniture Company, appeared to request a six
month time extension on his agreement to pave 24th Place. On motion of Commissioner Stenstrom,
seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried, same was approved.
Request next submitted from Mack N. Cleveland, Jr. for a 90 day time extension
on Condemnation No. 73-522, 422 East 5th Street,and on recommendation of the City Manager,
Commissioner Stenstrom moved to authorize same. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried.
The Mayor submitted a request from the General Sanford Memorial Library Board of
Trustees for funds to purchase and install a burgler alarm system at the General Sanford Memorie
Library. The Commission concurred with the request for a burgler alarm system, and suggested
that the .Board investigate several types to be submitted to the Commission.
There being no further business, the 'meeting was adjourned.
