November 3 at 4: 00 P.M. 19 75 MIDSTATE LEGAL SUPPLY COMPANY The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in regular session in the City Hall in the City.~of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on November 3, 1975. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore Commissioner John G. Morris Commissioner A. A. McClanahan commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer City Attorney C. Vernon Mize, Jr. City Manager W. E.. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Absent: Police Chief Ben E. Butler The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. On motion of Commissioner Meyer, seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried, minutes of October 27, 1975, were approved'. Commissioner Stenstrom moved to authorize the City Attorney to prepare the proper ordinance to authorize travel expense reimbursements as follows: Breakfast $ 2.45 Lunch ~ $ 3.50 Dinner $ 7.00 Per Diem $35.00 Mileage 14¢ per mile Seconded by Commissioner McClanahan and carried. Commissioner McClanahan moved to remove from table the consideration of adoption of the 1975 Standard Plumbing Code. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. Commissioner McClanahan moved to adopt the 1975 Standard Plumbing Code. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. Commissioner McClanahan moved to authorize the City Attorney to prepare the proper ordinance to amend the plumbing code and the mechanical code to provide for a fee schedule as adopted by the City Commission. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried. Commissioner Morris introduced Resolution No. 1202, and after being read in full, moved on its pasaage and adoption. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. Said reso- lution being in words and figures as follows: RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PROHIBITION OF VEHICLE PARKING WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, in cooperation with the State of Florida Department of Transportation, finds it to be in the public interest to prohibit parking on certain streets within the corporate limits of Sanford; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Sanford re- quests the Department of Transportation to install the necessary signs and traffic devices necessary to prohibit parking on the following de- scribed streets and roadways: COUNTY SECTION NO. N..Tamm, Jr. City Clerk The Suggestion Review Committee recommended an award of $25.00 each for the sugges- tions of Bonnie RiCharde and James P. Holtzclaw. Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize same. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried. ~ Request submitted for a ti'me extension on Condemnation Report N°. 75-683, 1121~ West 12th Street, Sarah Bass, owner. On recommendation of the Minimum Housing Code Inspec- tor and on approval of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan:moved to authorize a 90 day time extension. Seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried. The City Manager submitted a bid tabulation, as follows: 1. One Turf Sweeper (Parks Division) Zaun Equipment Company Orlando, Florida $4,260.00 Tresca Industries, Inc. Longwood, Florida $5,165.00 Recommend these be rebid due to poor wording in the specifications. On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner McClanahan moved to accept the low bid Submitted from Lawton Brothers in the amount of $1,,195 for a battery powered Floor Scrubber 19 75 bids for same.
