A public hearing was held in accordance with notice published in the Evening Herald on November 14, 1975, as follows: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS IN CERTAIN DISTRICTS AND BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA. Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be~.held at the Commission Room in the City Hall in the City of Sanford,Florida, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on November 24, 1975, to consider changes and amend- · ments to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sanford, Florida, as fol- lows: A portion of that property lying between Third Street and Fourth Street and between Cypress Avenue and Pine Avenue is proposed to be rezoned from MR-1 (Multiple-Family Residential Dwelling) District'.to~GC-2 (General Commercial) District. Cooper, 133 Hidden Lake Drive, Sanford, appeared to support the request and to discuss plans to operate a nursery and landscaping business at this location. Commissioner McClanahan moved to appoint Jack Bridges to the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried. On motion Of commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner Meyer and carried, minutes of November 10, 1975, were approved. Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize the City Manager'to coordinate work to repave ' MINUTEs City commission, Sanford, Florida ' . November 24 at 7: 00 P.M. 19 75 MIDSTATE LEGAL SUPPLY COMPANY On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner Meyer moved to authorize the City Manager to return the statement in the amount of $3,053.66, from Alley, Alley and Blue, Attorneys, with a letter explaining the rejection. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried. The City Manager reported that the Board of Trustees of the General Sanford Memorial Library had requested the name of the library be changed to the "Henry S. Sanford Museum- Library". On motion of Commissioner McClanahan, seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried, same was approved. The City Manager submitted a tabulation of bids for a stump cutter as follows: Vermeer Southeast Sales and Services, Inc. Orlando Farm Equipmen~ Recommend low bid. $4,538. $4,600.
