MIDSTATE LEGAL SUPPLY COMPANY
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session in the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on February 16, 1976.
Present: Acting Mayor-Commissioner Gordon T. Meyer
Commissioner John G. Morris
Commissioner A. A.,McClanahan
Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom
City Attorney C. Vernon Mize, Jr.
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Police Chief Ben E. Butler
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The Acting Mayor announced that the meeting was called to consider proposed legis-
lation for a tax district to fund the Downtown Development Corporation.
Mr. Tom McDonald, representing the Downtown Development Corporation, was present
to review the proposed act and to answer questions.
Commissioner Morris moved that the City Commission endorse and approve the proposed
ilegislation, subject to changes requested by the Commission. Seconded by Commissioner Sten-
strom'and carried.
Commissioner McClanahan moved to authorize the City Manager to continue to confer
~with Florida Power and Light Company to solve the street lighting problem on Sanford Avenue
iiat Sanora Subdivision with concrete poles. Seconded by Commissioner Stenstrom and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
