The. City Commission .of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon on December 3, 1976.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner John G. Morris
Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
Commissioner JUlian L; Stenstrom
Commissioner,Gordon T. Meyer
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney C. Vernon Mize, Jr.
Police Chief Ben E.. Butler
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairman announced that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the exterior
design for the proposed City'Hall with Wayne Heasley, Watson and Company, Architects.
The City Commission expressed concern with a report from the architects that the
proposed City Hall may not be able.to be constructed within the 1.3 million dollar budget,
and asked what the alternatives would be if the bid came in over the budget.
The City Manager presented an alternate site plan of the proposed City Hall, show-
ing the Commission chambers~and~.lobby located~south of the administrative offices.
Wayne Heasley, Mr. Swickerath and Mr. Harnly, Watson and Company,~presented alter-
nate skylights and Stairway additions and changes to the exterior of the proposed City Hall.
The Commission instructed Wayne Heasley to prepare alternate plans for the exterior
of the proposed City Hall, and to present same at the meeting of December 13, 1976. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned~~
