The City Commission of~ the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at
the City Hall in'the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on January 28, 1977.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner John G. Morris~
Commissioner Julian L. Stenstrom
Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
Commissioner Eddie O. Keith
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney C. Vernon Mize, Jr.
Police Chief Ben E. Butler
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairman announced the purpose of the meeting was to discuss landfill sites
and g lations

On motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner Keith and carried, the
City Manager was authorized to advise the Planning and Zoning Commission that the City Commis-
sion will not consider any zoning amendment along the lines they have been discussi~ng, to
permit conditional government uses affecting approximately 75% of the property in the City.
The City Manager reported that he had ~discussed with seminole County Commissioner
Bill Kirchoff, County Planner Bill Kercher and County Director of Public Works Jack Schuder,
ways to lower the cost to the City for use of the County landfill facilities, and that'they
had indicated cooperative ideas as follows:
1. A county charge of $3.50 per ton, if the City transports the re£use to the
Osceola Airport landfill.
2. The county would charge partial rates for partial loads, if the City marks
the ram on its packer trucks to indicate the portion of a load the truck~ is'
carrying.
There being no. further business, the meeting was adjourned.
