Magnolia Avenue Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0302-0110 Property Owners: Thomas A. Speer, Sydney A. Speer and Rose O. Corso Representative: Thomas Speer PM-2 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness application for a hanging wood sign at 107 Magnolia Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0302-0120 Property Owner: Howard S. Marks Representative: Howard S. Marks Minor Reviews Review of Certificate of Appropriateness approvals issued administratively from July 1, 2012 through August 30, 2012. 6 Month Reviews from February 2012 Meeting (March 2012 Meeting was canceled) Listed below is the status of projects reviewed by the board during the February 2012 meeting. The board must determine if the work is in compliance with the approved CofAs. 703 S. Oak Avenue Item: The applicant received approval to repair an exterior wall with synthetic material and remove a door on north elevation to replace with a diamond shaped wood window. Status: The applicant obtained a building permit and installed the window. 621 S. Oak Avenue Item: The applicant received approval to remove a first floor south facing window opening on the detached building as well as received approval to paint the building on the alley and 7th Street two different colors based on the fact the siding materials on the upper and lower levels are different and separated by a clear and defined line of demarcation. Status: The building has been painted in compliance with the Certificate of Appropriateness. 108 S. Park Avenue Item: The applicant received approval to install a new structural awning to match the previous design as well as received approval to install new double entry steel doors at the rear and corner of the building. Status: The awning has been installed. Additional details must be installed for the design to be complete. PM Minutes Mr. Kinney moved to approve the July 18, 2012 meeting minutes. Mr. Chusmir seconded. Motion carried 3-0, Mr. Chen not present at this time. Corso Representative: Thomas Speer Ms. Dalton informed the board the applicant submitted an alternative application which she was able to approve; therefore, this item will not be considered. PM-2 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness application for a hanging wood sign at 107 Magnolia Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0302-0120 Property Owner: Howard S. Marks Representative: Howard S. Marks Per the request of the applicant, Ms. Dalton informed the board this request will be considered at the October meeting. Mr. Kinney moved to continue the request to the October meeting. Mr. Chusmir seconded. Motion carried 3-0, Mr. Chen not present at this time. Minor Reviews Review of Certificate of Appropriateness approvals issued administratively July 1, 2012 through August 30, 2012. Mr. Chusmir moved to approve the Minor Reviews. Mr. Kinney seconded. Ms. Dalton reported the Chairman and Vice Chairman elections will be held at the next meeting. Since this was Mr. Chen’s last meeting serving as a board member, the board presented him an appreciation gift acknowledging his service and dedication to the City and to the board. Mr. Chen thanked everyone. Chairman and Board Items for Discussion There was a brief discussion on the PICO building. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:50 . PM After the meeting adjourned, Ms. Dalton gave a brief PowerPoint Presentation on the Craftsmen Architectural Style.
