MIDSTATE LEGAL SUPPLY cOMPANY
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in
the City Manager's Conference Room in the City Hall on April 19, 1982 at 4:00 o'clock P. M.
Present:
Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner Edward A. Yancey
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Edwin O. Keith
City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, who announced the purpose of the
meeting was to continue to discuss with the Advisory Charter Committee their proposed Charter
r evis ions.
The City Manager submitted Staff's revision of Section 2.01, incorporating the
recommendation of Ms. Camilla Bruce, Supervisor of Elections, Seminole County, in the recom-
mendation from the Advisory Charter Committee as submitted at the meeting of April 5, 1982.
Thomas Wilson III, Chairman, Advisory Charter Committee, reported the committee
had no objections to the proposed revision.
The Commission reviewed Sections 2.02, 2.03, 2.04, 2.05 and 2.06 of the proposed
Charter. ~
The Mayor asked each Commissioner to state which portions of the proposed Charter
present a problem to them and the unanimous response was "districting".
" . The Mayor asked each Commissioner to decide before the meeting on MaY 3, 1982, ~'
their preference to submit to the voters of options as follows:
1. Opposed to'districting and don't want it presented.
2. Want districting presented by itself, without an alternative.
3. Want districting presented with an alternative.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
