The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in the
City Manager's Conference Room in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00
o'clock P. M. on March 1, 1985.
Present:
Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith
Commissioner John Y. Mercer
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The Mayor announced that the meeting had been called to interview Mr. James
Turner, Grenada, Mississippi, who had been invited as one of the five persons selected from
the applicants for the position of City Manager for the City of Sanford.
Mr. Turner appeared to discuss his education qualifications and professional
experience background, and answer inquiries from the City Commission.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

The Mayor announced that the meeting had been called to receive the annual Audit
of the City and to interview Mr. William Cook, Kingsport, Tennessee, who had been invited as
one of the five persons selected from the applicants for the position of City Manager for
the City of Sanford.
Harold HartsoCk and Rick Mann, Hartsock & Hartsock, C.P.A., submitted the annual
Audit for the fiscal year ended September 30, 1984, and explained the schedules therein.
The Commission accepted said Audit and authorized payment for same.
Mr. William Cook appeared to discuss his education qualifications and professional
experience background, and answer inquiries from the City Commission.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
