Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The City Manager next submitted cost estimate in amount of $2,617.O0 for paving 370
lineal feet of north Summerlln Avenue with limerock base and asphalt surface, with concrete
curb and gutter.
City of Banford, Florida, met in adjourned session at the City
195o.
Thereupon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Chase moved that upon obtaining the
consent of majority of the abutting property owners, the aforesaid pavement be authorized on
basis of the City paying one-third of the cost of construction and one-third eachto be paid
by the abutting property owners.
Beconded by Commissioner Dyeon and carried.
The following bids next submitted for furnishing labor and materials for constructing the
municipal memorial stadium and furnishing and installing field floodlights in accordance with
plans and specifications furnished by Architect Elton J. Moughton, which were opened publicly
at 4:00 P. M. August 31, 1950.

Prime Bid (consist of constructing 15 bays of granstand
with white mens and womens toilet rooms, office
white concession, and storage room)
Alternate (consist of constructing 4 bays of grand-
stand to the north, players showers, toilet
and locker rooms, steps and dougout ex-
tension)
2nd Alternate (consist of constructing 2 bays to the
east, negro mens and womens toilet rooms,
negro concessions, steps and dougout ex-
tension)
3rd Alternate (consist of constructing additional palyers
showers, toilet and locker room group)

Thereupon after careful study of the four phases of stadium construction bid upon and
prices submitted for each, Commissioner ~temper moved that the City reject all bids received
because of being too high, and to seek plans of a stadium more within its financial means,
and same died for lack of a second.

After further study of the bids submitted and discussion of financing the
construction of the stadiu$, action was deferred until regular meeting of Septem-
ber ll, pending further consideration of ways and means of financing the project.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
