The City Commission of the City of Sanford, met in special session at the City Hall
in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on September 16, 1963.
Present:
Commissioner Thomas S. McDonald, Mayor

Commissioner Baker moved to waive the requirement of a 24 hour written notice and
to call the meeting into special session to consider awarding a bid on a replacement for a
Crawler tractor. Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried by the following vote of the
Commission:

The City Manager next submitted the following tabulation of bids which were opened
publicly at 2:00 P. M. on September 13, 1963, for furnishing equipment in accordance with
Specifications in the invitation for bids published in-!the Sanford Herald on September 5, 196~

Bids on tractor - Refuse Division

bull clam. The net bid was $18,0~2.93 on an International.
Allis-Chalmers and Caterpillar declined to bid on this section.

After consideration, Commissioner Wilson moved on the acceptance of the low bid of
State Tractor & Equipment Company for furnishing a new International Harvester Crawler tractor
Model 175 with ~-in-1 type bucket in the amount of $22,310.50, less trade in, net of
$16,810.50. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried.
Commissioner Baker moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Wilson
and carriedl
