A. B. Peterson Jr., representing C. W. Davis, appeared to report a garbage problem
on a 32 acre lot between 25th Street and Celery Avenue. Mr. Peterson stated that in 1985
the lot was covered with used cars, discarded concrete, and garbage and he hired heavy
equipment to clean it. The situation in Washington Oaks Subdivision is there are buildings
built across the property lines; there are gardens that have been planted on this acreage by
the surrounding residents; and there is more garbage on the lot this year. Mr. Peterson
suggested mowing around the major obstructions and set up a depth factor for mowing.
The Commission directed same to Staff to determine the proposed depth factor for
mowing, and directed Staff to review the refuse regulations and submit recommendations.
