PUBLIC NOTICE
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please be advised that the City Commission of the City of Sanford, as part of the City's labor
negotiating committee, will meet in a collective bargaining session on October 8, 2012, at 4:00
p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, in the Railroad Depot Room located on the Second
Floor of Sanford City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida. The collective bargaining
session will last approximately fifteen minutes. Under the provisions of Section 447.605(1),
Florida Statutes, a limited exemption from Section 286.011, Florida Statutes, exists for
discussions between the chief executive officer (City Manager /Deputy City Manager) of a public
employer such as the City of Sanford and the labor negotiating committee including the legislative
body of the public employer (City Commission) relative to collective bargaining. The agenda for
the meeting follows:

At the request of the Deputy City Manager, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, as part of
the City's labor negotiating committee, will meet in a collective bargaining session relative to
negotiations with the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police.
Please note that Section 447.605(3), Florida Statutes. provides that "[a]II work products
developed by the public employer in preparation for negotiations, and during negotiations, shall
be confidential and exempt from the provisions of s. 119.07(1), F.S."
Although no decision will be made that is subject of appeal during the course of the meeting, all
persons are hereby advised that, pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, any person
desiring to appeal any decision will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure
that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the testimony and evidence
upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with disabilities needing
