The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Work Session on Monday,
in the Railroad Depot Room, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Mayor Kuhn called the Work Session to order at 4:05 PM.
River Water Management District.
.5) Presentation by Nancy Christman, intergovernmental Coordinator, St. Johns
Ms. Christman distributed information regarding a cooperative cost sharing program, Florida water protection and
sustainability program, and a recreation guide. She also presented a mock check in the amount of $550,000 for the North
Seminole Regional Reclaimed Water and Surface Water Optimization System Expansion Project.
1) Presentation re: Seminole County Community Safety Programs.
Robin Butler, Seminole County Traffic Engineering, Community Traffic Safety Team representative, distributed
and presented a power point presentation regarding traffic safety and education, and requested funding for a Seminole County
Public Schools Driver Education pilot program.
The City Commission agreed to discuss this item during the budget work session.
2) Presentation re: Envision Seminole Survey. [Commission Memo 06-291]
Deputy City Manager Aday reviewed the Survey results.

3) Presentation re: public School Facility Plan; School Concurrency amendment-
Principal Planner Antonia Gerli, Seminole County Public Schools Planner Mike Rigby, and Seminole County
Principal Planner Tony Matthews reviewed the draft lnterlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning and School
Concurrency- The Commission expressed concern about the school maximum level of service and suggested it be set at a better
level for the final Agreement.
4) Presentation re: On-Street Parking Supply and Demand Study.
Public Works Director Tom George reviewed the Study. City Manager Yehl said that the downtown merchants
and restaurants will be notified that there will be a charge for parking and will ask for their input regarding delivery zones.
5) Discussion re: Speaker Request forms.
The Commission agreed to implement the use of the forms.
