",';, ORDINANCE NO. 42~ AN OBDINANCE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR 1947. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the amount determined necessary to be raised by taxation 1n the City of Sanford, Flor1da, for the year 1947, for the ord1nary purposes of the Municipality and the Department of Debt Service is the sum of $178,000.00. Section 2. That the millage for the year 1947 to be assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all of the taxable property, except Homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000000 or less, within the corporate lim1ts of the City of Sanford, Florida, is hereby fixed at 2g.0000 mills, to be allocated as follows: Department of General Government 15.0000 mills Department of Debt Serv1ce 13.0000 mills Section 3. That the millage for the year 1947 to be assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all Homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less within the corporate lim1ts of the City of Sanford, Florida, is hereby fixed at 13.0000 mills, to be allocated as follows: Department of Debt Service 13.0000 mills Section 4. That there shall be and is hereby levied for the year 1947 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property, except Homesteads to the assessed"value of $5,000.00 or less, within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, a tax of 15.0000 mills for the purpose of real- iz1ng a sum sufficient to meet and defray the necessary ordinary running and operatIng expenses of the City of Sanford, Florida, - r for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1947, and ending Sep- tember 30, 1949. Section 50 That there shall be and is hereby levied for the year 1947 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, a tax of 12.l9ge mills for the purpose of realizing a sum sufficient to pay interest coupons maturing March 1, 194e, and September 1, 194e, on Refunding Bonds Series A, of the City of Sanford, Florida, dated March 1, 1937, and maturing September 1, 1977, and to create a Sinking Fund for the purchase or acquiring of bonds of said Series A, and a tax of oe002 mills for the purpose of realiz1ng a sum to apply toward the payment of interest coupons maturing March 1, 1949, and September 1, 1949, on Refunding Bonds Series 0, D & E, of the C1ty of Sanford, Florida, dated March 1, 1941, and maturing September 1, 1977. Seotion 6. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances 1n conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 7.
