AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF S.ANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDIN:>NCE NO. 397,
EST ABLISHING PARKING IV1ETER ZONES tN SAID CITY,
AND MAKING REGULATIONS IN REG..:iRD THERETO, PASSED
1~~ LillOPTED ON THE 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1945,
SAID SECTION HEREBY AMENDED REQUIRING THE
PARKING OF VEHICLES IN PARKING SPACE AND
DEPOSITING THE REQUIRED SUM IN THE PARKING
METER.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 397,
establishing parking meter zones in the City of Sanford,
and making certain regulations in regard thereto, passed
and adopted on the 26th day of October, 1946, be and the
same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
"
Section 5. That any person desiring to park a
vehiole in the above described parking zones
shall park the same wholly within~a parking
space designated by painted lines, as mentioned
in Section 2 hereof, and immediately upon doing
so, shall deposit in said parking meter, the amount
required for the time he or she desires to
have said vehicle parked, and when said time
has elapsed, said vehiole shall be immediately
moved from said space or another coin for
the additional time for which it is desired

to have said vehicle parked shall be deposited
therein. It Shall be unlawful for any person
to park a vehicle in any parking space unless

said vehicle is parked wholly within said
space, and upon conviction in the Municipal
Court for failure so to do, such person
shall be punished by fine of not more than

or imprisonment for not more than
days, or by both fine and imprison-
ment at the discretion of the Municipal
JUdge.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
