ORDINANCE NO. 405
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING THAT v'mITTEN NOTICES SERVED BY ANY POLICE
OFFICER OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, CHARGING A
VIOLATION OF ANY ORDr~ANCE OF SAID CITY, AND THE
11RITTEN NOTICE TO BE AFFlvED TO A VEHICLE AS MEN-
TIONED I:'J S:TCTION 7 OF ORDINA~-TCF NUMBER 397 PASSED
AND ADOPTED AUGUST 26, 1946, AND RE~UIRING THE
PERSON UPON WHOM SERVED TO APPEAR AT THE MUNICIPAL
COURT TO ANSWER TO SAID CHARGE, SHALL CONTINUE TO

BE IT ENACTED :Y THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That all written notices gerved by any police
officer of the City of Sanford, Florida, by delivery thereof to
any person charged with violatinr- any of the ordin~nces of the
City of Sanford, Flo~ioa, and written notice mentionpd in
Secti0n 7 of Oro.inancp Numlter 397, passed and aiopted on the 26th
day of AUfust, 1946, establishing parkinv meter zones on certain
avenues and street in the City of Sanford, FlorioG., and to be
affixed to vehicles, charginf a violation of S8.1r ordinance
number 397, shall be aMI remain the propr=.rty of the Ci ty of
Sanford, Florida, and shall be considel"'erl an intef"ral part of the
process of the Police Department and of the Municipal Court by
said City and all persons receivinf such notice, shall "e and
said notice
are hereby required preserve and prOduce/at court when answering
the charge set forth in said notice or to the City Tax Collector
at the time of paying the twenty-cents fine mentioned in Section
7 of said Ordinance Number 397.
Section 2. That no person, whether the recipient thereof
or otherwise, shall Willfully throwaway, alter, mar, mutilate,
destroy or discard any written notice referred to in the next
precedin~ section.

Section 3. That any person violatinr any of the provisions
of See tions 1 or 2 of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction
thereof in the Municipal Court of the City of Sanford, Florida,
b ~ punished by a flne of not exceeding: two hune.red dollars or
by imprisonment for not exceedin~ ninety days, or by both fine
and imprisonment at the descretion of the municipal judge.
Section 4. That all ordin~nces or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SFction 5. That this ordinanre shall become effective
immediately upon paasage and adoption.
Passed anclaiopted this 12th day of November, 1946.
