HomeMy WebLinkAbout08261988 min I I, 1 The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Reaular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:30 a.m. on August 26, 1988. Members Present: B.L. Perkins Larry Blair W.M. Philips Members Absent: Garnett White Joe Schaeffer Others Present: Gary Winn The meeting was called to order at 11:35 a.m. by the Chairman, B.L. Perkins. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 109 Alder Court Legal Description: Lot 134 Hidden Lake PB 29 PG 40 -41 as recorded in PB 3 PG 15, Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SR -1 Rear Yard Requirements: 20 feet Variance Needed: 10 feet The planned use of the property is to erect a screen room on an existing slab. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: James Borak Janet Borak was present to represent the request. She presented letters from Southern Bell, Cablevision of Central Florida, Florida Power & Light Company and a neighbor at 107 Alder Court. None had any objection. Mr. Winn stated that the existing slab was there when the house was purchased and that he had no objection to the screen room as long as the posts were set back so that they did no extend onto the edge of the slab that was on the easement. Rear Yard Requirements: 20 feet Variance Needed: 10 feet Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Eugene Wynbissinger Mrs. Wynbissinger was present to represent the request. She submitted a letter signed by four (4) of her neighbors. None objected to the screen room being erected. Mr. Philips made a motion to approve the request. Mr. Blair seconded. Front Yard Requirements: 25 feet Variance Needed: 4 feet Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Daniel & Roberta Walker Mr. & Mrs. Walker were present with Attorney Steve Lawrence to represent the request. Mr. Lawrence addressed the board on the Walkers' behalf and advised that they had recently moved to this city and were not aware that they needed a permit for the carport that was erected. Mr. Winn advised the board that he had no objection to the carport and that the Walkers' had done a lot of work to the property. Mr. Blair made a motion to approve the request. Mr. Philips seconded.
