BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
October 23, 1985
4:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by Gary Winn in the absence of the chairman.
Mr. Vrabel and Mr. Knadle were present to represent the request from Central Constructors,
Inc. for Lakeview Village Apartments located at 401 W. Seminole Blvd. They are requesting
a variance in section 1113.3 "treads & risers" of the Standard Building Code to allow them
to vary up to one inch from the code. The top and bottom risers of approximately 30 to
40 stairs are needing the variance.
After discussion, Mr. Gross denied the request due to previous experience. Mr. Hartsoe
moved to table the meeting till next Tuesday, October 29, 1985 at 4:30 P.M. due to wanting
to go to the apartments and check the safety of the stairs and also get a legal opinion
from the City Attorney about liability. Mr. Barks seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, October 29, 1985.
