BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
October 29, 1985
4:30 P.M.

Gary Winn, Building Official
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P.M. by the Chairman, A. K. Shoemaker.
Mr. Vrabel and Mr. Knadle were present to represent the variance request as stated in
meeting on October 21, 1985.
Mr. Winn presented a letter from the City Attorney stating that he feels the City or
the Board would not be held liable if something was to happen.
Mr. Barks stated that he went by the apartments and walked some of the stairs and did
not feel any major problems. Mr. Hartsoe went and took his wife. He stated there was
a problem with some of them, There could possibly be a problem with a women wearing
high heeled shoes.
After discussion, Mr. Hartsoe moved to grant the variance allowing a low of 6 3/8"
and a high of 7 7/8 ". Mr. Barks seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
