BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
August 21, 1985

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by the Chairman, A. K. Shoemaker.
Mr. W. E. Knowles was present to represent the request for Horne Properties,
Seminole Center located on Orlando Drive, to waive the requirement for additional
bathroom facilities for all commercial retail sales areas in excess of 1,500 square
feet. They would like the board to review it to establish the additional bathroom
criteria to be applicable only to retail sales areas in excess of 4,500 to 5,000
square feet.
After discussion, Mr. Gross moved to grant up to 3,000 square feet before any
additional bathrooms would be required. Mr. Barks seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

RE: Waiver of Code Requirements

Dear Mr. Winn:
Horne Properties requests a waiver of the requirement for additional
bathroom facilities for all commercial retail sales area in excess of
1,500 square feet. We request a review to establish the additional bath -
roan criteria to be applicable only to retail sales areas in excess of
4,500 to 5,000 square feet.
Please ask the Sanford Board of Adjustment and AppP_Als to consider this
request for a waiver as quickly as possible.
Mr. W. E. "Pete" Knowles will represent Horne Properties at the meeting.
Please notify him of the date, time, and place.
