SUBJECT: Special Meeting - March 4, 1981
Dear Member,
A meeting has been scheduled for March 4, 1981 at 4:00 P.M. in the
Conference Room in the Building Department at City Hall.
The meeting is being called to consider a request from Mrs. Cognito
of Cognito's Restaurant, 301 Park Ave. The Building Department and Fire
Prevention Officer made an inspection yesterday and informed Mrs. Cognito
that if she converts the upstairs to an apartment, the code requires a
1 -hr. tenant separation between the restaurant and the apartment. She has
asked to appeal this decision because she prefers to have an open effect for
the apartment, therefore does not want to close it up with the 1 -hr tenant
separation. Mrs. Cognito is willing to cooperate on all the other points
required for the apartment.
The Board of Adjustment of Appeals does not have a designated Chairman at
this time so we will try to accept nominations and elect a Chairman at this
meeting.
