PENSION BOARD MEETING MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2008 — 10:00 A.M.
1. Call to Order and Roll CaII
The meeting was called to order at 10:11 a.m. by the Chairman, Thomas Hickson. The
following members were present: Bill Kirchhoff, Craig Radzak, John Smith and Robert Vaughn.
2. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Bill Kirchhoff to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held May
15, 2008 and August 14, 2008. Seconded by John Smith, the motion carried unanimously.
3. Disbursements
The Plan Administrator made note of an add -on item to the Disbursement Report. A motion was
then made by Bill Kirchhoff to approve the disbursement report as amended. Seconded by
Robert Vaughn, the motion carried unanimously. (Copy is attached for the record.)
4. Old Business
The Trustees discussed the amendments to the annual declaration of returns letter that were
agreed upon at the last meeting. The consensus was to send the letter as amended, stating
that the annual rate of investment return for the fund for the next year is 4 %, the next several
years is 6 %, and the Tong -term thereafter, shall be 8 %, net of investment expenses.
5. New Business
(a) The Trustees' current terms were reviewed. The terms of office for Bill Kirchhoff, as a City
Commission appointment, Robert Vaughn, as the member elected Trustee, and Craig Radzak,
the 5 member, all expire at the end of September. Bill Kirchhoff and Robert Vaughn verbally
expressed their interest in another two -year term. The Plan Administrator will work to
coordinate the member election and prepare the Commission appointment letter. A motion was
made by Robert Vaughn re- appointing Craig Radzak as the 5 member, contingent upon the re-
election of Robert Vaughn and the Commission re- appointment of Bill Kirchhoff. Seconded by
the motion carried unanimously.
6. Next Meeting Date
Next regular meeting date was set for Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
7. Adjournment
The meeting ended at 10:22 a.m.
