Mr. Ray inquired if Sanford police will have its own dispatch with the new building? Police Chief Tooley
commented that is the plan. Sanford police is not claiming any dissatisfaction with dispatch, but it would
be suitable for Sanford to have its own dispatch.
Mr. Carpenter stated he hears numerous complaints from citizens regarding dispatch. Police Chief
Tooley commented when Sanford citizens call dispatch, they expect the dispatcher to know who they are,
various locations, etc. without having to provide information they assume the dispatcher should be
familiar with. Again, it would be appropriate to have a Sanford dispatch 24 hours a day at the complex.
